St. Georges Church is home to several very popular and active Uniformed Organisations for young people, including Beavers, Cubs and Scouts:

BEAVERS

 

The Beavers are boys and girls aged between 6 to 8 years old. They meet on Monday evenings between 6-7pm in St George's Church Hall.

They do all sorts of fun things such as crafts and games as well as badge work and camping.

 

 

The first two weeks are free then it's £2.00 a session. For more details contact Janet on 01422 361260

 

 

CUBS

Boys and girls aged from 8 to 10 and a half are welcome to join Cubs. They have lots of fun, games and excitement! Cubs have a wide range of activities and go camping in adventurous places.

SCOUTS

The Scouts are boys and girls between the ages of 10 and a half - 14 years. There are many activities such as climbing, cooking, mountain biking, crate stacking, arts and crafts and badge work, including the Duke of Edinburgh award.

 

There are 3 awards within the Duke of Edinburgh (D of E) award. These are Bronze, Silver and Gold. Each award is broken down into sections;
